Job Title: Principal Auditor - Operations and Equities Technology
Location: London (Hybrid)


Corporate Title: Vice President


You will be a member of the global Group Audit (GA) Technology Audit team reporting into the accountable Principal Audit Manager in London. The team is responsible for auditing Technology risk for Investment Banking and Corporate Bank Operations, and for the Equities business.


The Principal Auditor leads or participates in audits of a specific business/ function area in accordance with the Audit methodology, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks within those business areas.


GA runs a professional, business focused, proactive risk based global audit function that operates with openness, integrity, and independence. You will assist the business in mitigating high level control risks in the implementation of Group strategy.

Your key responsibilities
| Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls relating to Technology supporting Investment Banking and Corporate Banking Operations and Equities business in accordance with GA methodology and the established risk assessment framework
| Prepare, coordinate, and execute Technology audit assignments in accordance with GA standards, attend meetings with internal stakeholders, draft high quality audit findings/reports for review by the audit lead or management, facilitate tracking and closure validation of findings
| Conduct Technology assessments and continuous monitoring and complete all work assignments on a timely basis (including planned audits, finding validations, ad hoc projects, and special investigations)
| Communicate openly with GA management/ internal stakeholders, keeping them informed of potential issues and escalate problems/ delays accordingly. Present complex and sensitive messages (such as audit issues) comprehensively, professionally and reduce complex topics to simple statements
| Develop and maintain broad regulatory knowledge/ experience


Your skills and experience
| Sound audit knowledge/experience, with an understanding of the risks and regulatory requirements relating to Information Technology, supporting Investment Banking/Corporate Banking transaction processing or Equities business. Knowledge of Equities trade lifecycle and operational processes such as clearance, settlements, payments
processing, and client on-boarding, beneficial
| Strong relationship management, analytical, problem solving, influencing, planning and presentation skills
| Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience (technology, computer science or a related discipline preferred)
| Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCSP) advantageous
| Programming, data analytics/ artificial intelligence knowledge, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Application Programming Interface (API) experience advantageous
