Our client are a leading multinational corporation operating across various sectors with a strong presence in Dublin, Ireland. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a skilled Tax Manager to join our dynamic team.

As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our finance department, overseeing all tax-related matters for our operations in Dublin. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and minimizing tax liabilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to contribute to the success of our multinational corporation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize our company's tax position while ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage all aspects of tax planning, including transfer pricing, withholding tax, VAT, and corporate tax.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in filing requirements.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support decision-making processes and mitigate tax risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to address tax implications of business initiatives and transactions.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's tax position, providing recommendations accordingly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide tax-related guidance and training to internal stakeholders to enhance tax awareness and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Qualified tax professional with a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification or equivalent.
  • Extensive corporate tax experience 5+ years 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation and apply it to business scenarios effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making processes.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
