Sustainable Finance - Manager

To join our client as a Sustainable Finance Manager to develop, scale and lead our client’s Sustainable Finance service offering sitting within the wider FS Advisory division.

My client will also consider Senior Manager/Director level for the right candidate DOE.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and solve complex business issues for clients from strategy to execution ensuring a consistent best-in-class service.

  • Work with various stakeholders, both in Ireland and the wider global group, to best resolve issues facing clients.  

  • Stay abreast of relevant legal, regulatory and ESG developments and advise clients appropriately.

  • Act as the organisation’s Sustainable Finance Subject Matter Expert.

  • Work with Partners and colleagues within the wider FS Advisory team  to develop, shape and scale a world-class Sustainable Finance advisory service offering. 

  • Horizon scan for relevant regulatory changes, perform gap analysis and advise clients accordingly. 

  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop, discuss and help implement solutions.

  • Lead, manage and deliver on multiple projects, liaising with relevant internal, client, and external stakeholders.

  • Oversee and deliver formal and informal reports and presentations.

  • Lead, prepare and present persuasive proposals for new client work.

  • Coach and mentor team members to achieve project and career objectives

  • Recruit talented professionals to grow the team

???????Key SKills & Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a Sustainable Finance, Responsible Investments, ESG advisory role. 

  • Bachelors’ degree in finance, economics or related area required.

  • A relevant primary or advanced degree e.g. finance, business, law, engineering, MBA or equivalent or Formal project management qualifications e.g. Prince2 or Post-graduate qualification in Environmental Technology, Environmental Sciences and/or Sustainable Finance preferred. Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics and/or CFA desirable.

  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability in general (i.e experience in Green & Social Bonds, sustainable finance or analysis of corporate sustainability strategy, responsible investing, environmental and climate finance) and relevant issues affecting the FS sector.

  • Experience liaising with relevant supervisory authorities/ regulators advantageous. 

  • Excellent understanding of leading business practices.

  • Proven project / programme management experience within agreed deadlines and budgets.

  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder engagement and management skills.

  • Experience managing teams on multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written. 

  • Adaptable with a solutions-focused and innovative approach.

  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and report writing skills.
