Role: Business Systems Analyst

Company Role Overview

My client is a Global renewable energy business specializing in sustainable power projects, and they are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join their North American team.  They are Headquartered in Houston, and this role can be either fully remote or Hybrid. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be crucial in supporting various systems and applications, primarily focusing on finance and project management functions. The role will report directly to the CFO, and you will support the CFO to lead all system implementation and he ideally is seeking someone with an interest in Machine Learning or AI that wants to champion exploratory investigation projects in that space and help him toi integrate AI & Machine learning. You do not need to have that experience, but a willingness to learn and interest in it is massively desirable. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage third-party service provider service delivery governance and service level assurance.
• Support and maintain assigned business systems, including OneStream and NetSuite.
• Provide continuous improvement support to internal clients, ensuring standard and consistent service levels.
• Lead system implementation and upgrade projects, including executing user acceptance test plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project definitions and scope, aiding in decision-making processes.
• Review and refine requirements, specifications, and business processes related to business systems.
• Analyze current business processes and implement process automation and improvements as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience supporting business systems, with expertise in ERP, finance, accounting, and project management systems.
• Demonstrated experience supporting OneStream and NetSuite.
• Solar power industry experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with workflow, process mapping, form validation, and automation.
• Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
• Strong work ethic and high work standards.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
