Pension Scheme Accountant
Phoenix are delighted to be working with a Dublin based Wealth Management company who, after a very successful 2023 are hiring for their expanding finance function for 2024. Primary Duties:
- Collaborate within a team tasked with preparing Annual Reports for Pension Schemes.
- Accurately generate Scheme Annual Reports for Pension Schemes in compliance with Statements of Recommended Practice for Pension Schemes and the Occupational Pension Schemes (Disclosure of Information) Regulations 2006 (as amended).
- Take ownership of all assigned tasks, overseeing them through to final approval by auditors.
- Coordinate with internal pension administrators, client services managers, actuaries, and legal teams during the accounts preparation process.
- Engage with external auditors to streamline the Pension Scheme audit, promptly addressing all audit inquiries.
- Report directly to the Manager Pension Fund Accounts.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold a qualification as a chartered accountant (ACA or ACCA) with expertise in pension scheme accounting and financial reporting.
- Possess attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines with a keen sense of responsibility.
- Show initiative through self-directed actions.
- Possess proficient skills in MS Word and Excel.
