Penetration Tester


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Penetration Tester to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. As a Penetration Tester, you will be responsible for assessing the security vulnerabilities of our systems, networks, and applications to ensure the highest level of protection against potential threats. Your expertise in planning and executing penetration methods, developing scripts, and conducting comprehensive tests will be vital in identifying and mitigating potential risks. Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive security assessments and penetration testing on systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and potential weaknesses.
  • Develop and execute effective penetration testing methodologies and strategies, keeping abreast of the latest industry best practices.
  • Design and create scripts and tools to automate penetration testing processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and security analysts, to understand system architecture, identify potential risks, and provide guidance on security measures.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of penetration testing results, including identified vulnerabilities, potential impacts, and recommended remediation measures.
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors to continuously enhance the effectiveness of penetration testing methodologies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a robust security posture.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to management on security improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Penetration Tester or in a similar role.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar industry-recognised certification in penetration testing.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical hacking techniques, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proficient in planning and executing penetration testing activities, including vulnerability scanning, manual testing, and social engineering tests.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby to develop custom tools and automate testing processes.
  • In-depth understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to identify vulnerabilities and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • A self-motivated and proactive mindset with a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) or similar certifications.
  • Experience in secure code review and application security testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with network and web application firewalls.
