The Role/Opportunity

This full-time, permanent position offers the flexibility of being based anywhere in the UK, with a unique chance to engage in a broad spectrum of global indirect tax work and partner with some of the worlds biggest corporate brands as they scale operations globally.

 

Reporting to the Global Head of International Tax Advisory, the Manager of International Indirect Tax advisory services will play a vital role in scoping and delivering global Corporate International Tax products and solutions for clients worldwide. This key position operates within a supportive and highly collaborative Tax Advisory team environment, offering substantial opportunities for professional and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Expert Indirect Tax Advice:
    • Deliver specialist advice on a comprehensive range of indirect tax issues to both internal and external clients.
  2. Identify Opportunities and Promote Offerings:
    • Collaborate with the Director of Indirect Tax to identify service offerings and opportunities, and work with internal resources to promote these offerings to existing and potential clients.
  3. Client Engagement and Promotion:
    • Attend meetings and conference calls with clients and prospective clients to discuss complex technical areas of indirect tax or promote the services of the Indirect Tax function.
  4. Effective Handover to Compliance Team:
    • Liaise with internal and external client resources to facilitate the smooth handover of relevant positions to the Indirect Tax Compliance team for the completion of indirect tax returns.
  5. Key Client Account Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for specified key client accounts regarding indirect taxes, supporting the delivery of top-notch services to clients.
  6. Relationship Development:
    • Develop and nurture internal and external client relationships to identify further service opportunities and enhance the international reputation of the Indirect Tax team.
  7. Legislative Updates and Communication:
    • Support the Director in identifying and communicating relevant changes in legislation and policy affecting clients from an indirect tax perspective. This includes using various platforms such as team meetings, blogs, and webinars for effective dissemination.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience and expertise in international indirect tax matters.
  • Strong understanding of indirect tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Professional qualification in taxation or related field preferred.
