The ideal candidate will have good exposure to date in Dr/Cr postings and general journal entry. This role will suit someone who has just qualified or is on their final exams. The role will offer a varied experience of completing a full set of accounts for reviewing the data and KPI's. The management team are keen on Lean Six Sigma and as such, you can get involved in more training and upskilling in this field.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts to the board and operations level.

• Maintaining and reconciling the company trial balance.

• Assist with the external audit including preparation of audit schedules / supporting documentation and dealing with any queries

• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget including the monitoring of actuals vs budget and explaining the key variances.

• Ensuring accuracy in the processing of the monthly payroll including relevant submissions to Revenue and effectively dealing with any staff pay queries that might arise.

• Manage the accounts payable function with responsibility for supervising the invoice posting and ensuring the accuracy of coding. Identify opportunities for cost reductions by completing periodic supplier reviews as necessary.

• Assist with sales/cost report creation, design and updating.

• Support the efficient running of both the finance department and the company by identifying possible process improvements and either assisting or leading projects to help drive efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified Accountant or a Finalist

• Hands-on experience with Journal entry

• Ideally a small or medium practice or industry experience

• 3 years in Finance +

• Good Microsoft and IT knowledge advantageous
