Currently seeking to hire an NQ - 2 and would welcome applications from those who have post qualification experience in dispute resolution and litigation in a commercial firm.

Key Responsibilities


Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on all aspects of contentious commercial matters in a variety of sectors, both advisory and in a range of forums such as civil proceedings, inquiries and investigations and other ADR processes.
  • Advising public and private sector clients in contentious regulatory matters.
  • Developing and advising on strategies to achieve client objectives and manage risk.
  • Using analytic and research skills to formulate legal arguments and identify evidence in support clients' positions.
  • Negotiating to achieve client objectives.
  • Advising on and coordinating large scale discovery and other document review exercises.
  • Participating in the business development and knowledge management activities of the group.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills


The successful candidate will have:

  • Ideally post qualification experience in Litigation, within a commercial law firm.
  • Experience of commercial regulatory disputes, administrative law and working with clients in regulated sectors will be an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making
  • Proven communication and analytic skills with a high degree of commercial awareness
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills; the ability to manage a busy workload and client needs on a consistent basis
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A strong interest in maintaining, developing and sharing relevant legal knowledge.
