**IP& Media Litigation Associate - Leading Global Law Firm**

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is currently looking to recruit a bright and ambitious Associate to join their Tier 1, IP & Media practice, based in London. This is an opportunity to join our prestigious IP & Media team, ranked tier 1 in the legal directories.

The IP & Media Group is a group of 45 and growing, including 7 partners, 12 lawyers, 4 trade mark attorneys, trainees and paralegals, and non-fee earners (PAs, billing team and trade mark formalities team).

The size and strength of the group, both in the UK and in our international offices, and the variety of the clients we represent across cutting edge sectors means we offer outstanding experience of advising on every area of soft IP and media law.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The associate will be involved in a wide range of contentious, advisory and transactional IP and media work, often international in scope and typically across the following areas:
  • trade mark, domain name and design disputes and litigation, including anti-counterfeiting actions
  • lifecycle copyright advice across media and tech industries
  • licences and other agreements relating to trade marks, copyright, designs and advertising, including merchandising, sponsorship and franchise agreements
  • the management and protection of our clients' global trade mark portfolios
  • conducting trade mark registry proceedings

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate with have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Candidates must be UK qualified solicitors, with 1-3 years PQE and preferably from a firm with a leading intellectual property and/or media practice.
  • However, a lawyer qualified in a common law/Commonwealth jurisdiction currently undertaking or willing to undertake the QLTS would be considered if they had good relevant experience and excellent references can be taken upfront.
