Our client, a top tier Consulting firm are looking to make a strategic executive hire to assist in setting up and to grow a new Accounting Advisory business unit. This opportunity will offer the right individual a chance to work with leading CFO's across Banking, Insurance and the wider Financial Services sectors. This role will also offer an opportunity to become a market expert in new IFRS regulations and build a high performing team from the ground up within a leading global consultancy brand.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the senior partner group to assist existing and new Financial Services clients adapt to the ever-evolving regulatory accounting requirements

• Strong technical accounting experience, with a track record of combining accounting analysis with commercial business advice

• Appetite and ability to build a high performance team from the ground up by developing or leveraging current relationships withing the Insurance and Banking sectors

• Proven project management skills, with experience in leading large teams and delivering services to clients

• Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, in particular, IFRS 4 and IFRS 17

• Broad accounting skillset and experience in both IFRS and Irish/UK GAAP

• Take an active role in supporting the strategic management of the accounting advisory practice, including developing new services for clients

The ideal candidate:

• Strong track record in commercial negotiations and business strategy for a high growth business unit

• Minimum 8 years post qualification experience, with proven experience in insurance financial reporting matters

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and team members
