Phoenix Search are delighted to work with a large Irish-owned manufacturing group who are building their finance team. As a result, an opportunity for a Newly Qualified accountant has come about. This role would suit someone coming from a Big 4 / Top 10 background who is keen to gain hands-on accounting experience in a structured and high calibre environment.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing full month end accounts;
• Preparing monthly, quarterly & annual balance sheets and income statements;
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements;
• Working with other areas of the finance function (tax, treasury, etc.) to ensure accurate information is reported;
• Assisting with accounting issues as they arise;
• Evaluating and improving month end procedures;
• Preparing technical advice when required, and;
• Ad hoc projects as they arise.

Requirements:

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA);
• Industry experience advantageous;
• Exposure to working in multinational & controlled environment essential;
• Strong interpersonal skills required;
• SAP / HFM experience a distinct advantage, and'
• Advanced MS Excel & Powerpoint an advantage.
