Job Title: Financial Accountant - Pharmaceutical Sector - 11 Month Contract

They are seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to the growth of our organization.
Job Overview: As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations in the pharmaceutical sector. You will work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support to aid in decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards
- Maintain the general ledger, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including preparing accruals, prepayments, and provisions
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and provide regular financial analysis to support decision-making processes
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including tax filings
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain and sales, to provide financial insights and support to aid in decision-making processes
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant or Part-Qualified Finalist
- 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis, including preparing financial statements and budgets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
