The Opportunity

Join a dynamic Finance Team in a prominent organisation in the aviation sector. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the Finance Department's success by delivering precise financial information, analysis, and reporting.

As Finance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading a team and ensuring that financial performance aligns with service requirements. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will enable you to prioritize tasks, oversee seamless accounting operations, and ensure timely reporting. If you're an adaptable, results-driven professional, this is your chance to thrive in a stimulating work environment. This role is an 18-month contract initially.

Responsibilities:

As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Lead and manage a team of 9+ finance professionals, fostering collaboration with Finance Business Partners.
  • Assist in implementing an ERP system and contribute to various ad hoc projects, supporting the Head of Finance.
  • Oversee monthly management account production, conducting variance and cost analysis, and ensuring timely adjustments.
  • Develop financial systems and provide relevant KPI reports to support business teams.
  • Mentor, motivate, and develop the Finance Team while emphasizing cost reduction and service excellence.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting transactions, maintain strong internal controls, and coordinate audits and compliance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Full qualification as an ACA/ACCA accountant with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
  • Energetic and dedicated approach, excellent organizational skills, and commitment to deadlines, targets, and high work standards.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and proactive solution identification.
