The Opportunity:
Due to our continued success, we now have an exciting newly created opportunity for a commercial minded Corporate Finance/Transaction Services professional looking to move
inhouse to join the business in a leadership capacity and take the commercial lead in driving strategy and development across existing and new business.
Role Duties:
Identify potential M&A pportunities; analyse and determine potential value of the opportunity for the business;
Lead the process for the company to ensure we are successful in bidding for chosen companies.
Manage the PPA programme (including our PPA sales team); build direct relationships with key counterparties;
Liaise with Hedging and Trading team to define need and pricing;
Partner with Head of Regulation to give commercial input into key regulatory issues;
Review hedging strategy to highlight potential weaknesses and opportunities toimprove.
Define the business and associated financial model for new consumer services (e.g. improved gas and other utilities.)
Ensure the business model maximises potential for margin generation
Coordinate internal stakeholders to deliver to the agreed business model
Define the business model associated with partnerships for delivery of B2C services;
Find and onboard such partnerships; Set up appropriate account management structures for ongoing management of partnerships
The Candidate:
ACA/ACCA/CFA qualified with at least 8 years experience coming from a Corporate
Finance/Transaction Services background
Experience in renewable generation is an advantage.
Has developed financial models for complex businesses.
Experience in business planning and strategy definition in a range of different industries.
Ability to analyse complex commercial situations to identify the key elements of a successful business model.
Ability to project manage a team to deliver a business model.
Excellent communication skills. Proven ability to distil complex information into key points and present to stakeholders in a compelling way.
Persuasive with senior selling skills, to forge relationships with business development partners.
