Meet Phoenix Founder & Managing Partner Ed Rossiter
At Phoenix, we firmly believe that recruitment is a professional service - consultative, professional, value-add and solutions-focused.

Our search consultants are experts in professional services careers - many of whom are professionally qualified and have worked in global advisory firms. So, why choose Phoenix? Meet our Phoenix Family to find out more...

1. Tell us a bit about yourself - what's your background?

I’m a born and bred Wexford man who moved to Limerick to do a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, with a major in Marketing and Law, and some rugby thrown in for good measure! I came across the world of executive search / recruitment and joined BDO to manage their accounting and finance requirements. Since then, I have amassed over eight years experience working in large multinational and high growth firms. I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to start my own business, so after completing an Executive Diploma in High-Performance Sales and Business Development from Smurfit Business School, I established Phoenix to redefine what talent acquisition means to people.

2. Why professional services recruitment?

Having learned the ins and outs of the professional services sector, I found a gap in the market for a highly consultative and professional service in recruitment. Over the past few years, we have seen a slow moving sector transform into one that is now solving traditional problems with technology enhanced solutions. I’ve always felt this area was populated with competing recruitment / search firms, but it's actually quite under serviced by traditional approaches.

3. What makes the #PhoenixFamily different?

Our people, plain and simple. We are an elite group of professionals who are passionate about helping to transform companies and careers alike. We tirelessly search for the best solution possible for our clients and candidates. Everyone here is a self-motivated, focused and incredibly bright group of team players who challenge the norm and, most importantly, we have a lot of fun!

4. What do you consider your biggest achievement to date?

Professionally, creating Phoenix, which has attracted the best talent in the business. Already the feedback and results have been incredible. I'm very proud of our team and how much effort they put into making our vision a reality.  Personally, I'm looking forward to getting married next year...and looking after our baby (for now), our dog Ruby!

5. What's the best piece of advice you've been given that you share with our #PhoenixPeople

Trust the process! Dealing with people, emotions can run high (and low), but knowing you’re doing right by people and applying yourself in the right way always wins out in the long run.
