​Phoenix UK is partnering with a a global investment banking firm serving the technology, media and communications sectors (TMC). The firm focuses on M&A and corporate finance for its clients worldwide and are seeking to hire a Vice President for their Munich office.

Key responsibilities

• Daily deal execution and project management of transactions;

• Conceptualising, organising, processing and delivering presentations for potential transactions or strategic dialogues with clients;

• Participate in marketing meetings with prospective clients;

• In coordination with senior team, proactive calling on potential new clients including private equity firms, privately held business owners and publicly traded companies;

• Maintain regular liaison with the other offices to originate and execute cross border transactions;

• Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to associates and analysts at the firm;

Requirements

• Strong academic background - MBA / CPA / CFA qualification is advantageous;

• 6+ years of corporate finance experience;

• Excellent knowledge and skills in financial modelling, accounting, business planning and financial and valuation analysis, strong track record of executing financing and/or M&A transactions;

• TMC sector experience;

• Strong analytical skills, high motivation, commitment and ability to act independently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent command of written and spoken German and English;

• Ability to seek and identify new business opportunities in collaboration with senior team members, as well as, independently;

• Strong managerial skills and ability to manage teams of associates and analysts;
