THE OPPORTUNITY

My client is currently recruiting for Tax lawyers to join its global Tax Group, to be based in London.

The UK Tax Group goes beyond merely supporting the firm's transactional work but also has a large standalone advisory practice, with a range of specialisms allowing it to provide the full spectrum of tax services to the largest international businesses, including corporate reorganisations, finance, funds, employment, indirect tax and disputes.

This is your opportunity to become an integral member of the global Tax Group, and to assist on high profile transactions and advisory instructions across the UK and internationally. You will work with our global team to drive change, open new opportunities and accelerate growth for both our clients and our people.

If you have a commercial mind and a keen interest in activities that promote business growth, this is a tremendously exciting opportunity to develop your career with the world's largest global law firm - reaching your full potential by exploring the opportunities and choices that shape your individual career journey.

This role will allow you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of interesting matters, including:

  • Tax aspects of corporate, real estate and finance transactions, both from a transactional perspective and an advisory perspective
  • Indirect tax advice
  • Employment tax advice, including status, employee benefits and global mobility
  • International tax advisory work, including international corporate reorganisations and more complex cross-border advisory work
  • Capital markets and structured finance transactions.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum 2 years' PQE
  • Either a solicitor qualified in England & Wales or Scotland, or a solicitor qualified in a Commonwealth jurisdiction with significant UK tax experience
  • Tax experience working in a national or international firm
  • Excellent skills in communication and client relations
  • Work co-operatively in a team, sharing information and knowledge.
