The Opportunity

Phoenix are delighted to be retained by a leading media company to help identify a Finance Analyst to join their growing team. Working directly with the Financial Controller and alongside a high calibre, successful team, this position will play a key role in helping the business to deliver its financials and will partner with multiple stakeholders to advise and help drive value.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of P&L for the Irish business, liaising with the Group to help drive growth;

• Manage full month end process, forecasts, reforesting, budgets, etc.;

• Providing insights for senior management, advising on industry trends, opportunities for growth, etc.;

• Manage the long term planning for the business, consolidating budgets and presenting to senior Group executives;

• Influencing, advising and guiding non-finance management with regard to business performance, analysis and insights;

• Supporting junior members of the team in their progression and professional growth;

• Acting as a finance point of contact for queries;

• Advising Group on current vs projected business performance, mitigating issues which may arise and identifying opportunities for growth, and;

• Ad hoc projects as they arise.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with minimum 2 years PQE;

• Strong analysis experience required;

• Experience of working in a multinational, fast-paced environment;

• Must driven & ambitious with a want to progress;

• Experience in the media sector advantageous but not essential, and;

• Strong excel skills an advantage.
