The Client -

Our Client , a Global Law firm, offera sector-focused, proactive, and practical guidance to help clients navigate change, connecting the dots to provide innovative solutions. Their integrated international team provides access to expertise for both their clients and their people.

The Opportunity -

* Partner with a data protection expert team and colleagues in Ireland and internationally to offer advice on various GDPR-related matters, such as compliance, data breach reporting, data subject rights, data transfers, litigation, and children's data protection.

* Establish strong and long-term client relationships while serving as a trusted subject-matter expert.

* Collaborate with professionals from different fields and regions on cross-border and multi-disciplinary projects.

* Take a lead role in business development by identifying and nurturing new opportunities and promoting the firm's data protection practice at conferences and events.

* Head knowledge management initiatives within the group, which may include conducting training sessions.

Requirments -

  1. Comprehensive understanding of data protection laws in Ireland and the EU, with substantial senior-level experience in regulatory and compliance work, whether in-house or at a comparable law firm.

  2. Impressive academic credentials.

  3. Demonstrated self-initiative, motivation, and a strong desire to excel in the chosen practice area.

  4. Versatility to handle a diverse range of data protection issues.

  5. Ability to lead and manage complex matters, client relationships, and serve as a primary client contact, supported by excellent written and oral communication skills.

  6. Collaborative orientation to work across teams and jurisdictions, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and clients, along with a commitment to mentoring junior lawyers and staying up-to-date on evolving data protection issues and legal developments.
