Phoenix have partnered with a top asset management firm with over $1 trillion under management who are looking for a Risk Director to join their London team.
You will assist the Head of ACD with the development of large-scale risk advisory projects for high profile platforms, from Management Companies to fund clients and work in a supportive role within the overseas team.
Under the direction of the European Head of Risk Management, implement go-to methodologies and systems and ensure that risk processes stay current in meeting the latest guidelines by the FCA and other regulatory bodies as well as capture effectively portfolio level risks.
The successful candidate would undertake the role of Executive Director (SMF3) and assist the Senior Management group in the management of ongoing and large scale operational deliverables within the Waystone business. The role will specifically cover the UK ACD and AIFM responsibilities.
You will have,
Experience: The successful candidate will have worked for at least 8 years in a risk or regulatory related role preferably within the funds industry. They will have some experience in dealing with both external and internal clients and will have worked as part of a team. Experience managing staff is required.
Knowledge of or previous exposure to some regulatory filings is required, including but not limited to, AIFMD, UCITS, CPO-PQR, Form PF, Solvency II, OPERA, EMIR.
Proven experience with:
Investment Compliance
Market Risk
VaR methodologies and derived risk analytics
Liquidity Risk
Asset side and portfolio liabilities.
Credit Risk
Methodologies for risk quantification and rating attribution.
Experience in a wide range of asset classes from vanilla to bespoke products is required.
Experience of using Bloomberg for asset pricing, investment analysis is desirable and other data providers preferred in addition to experience of using SQL.
