​Our client are a leading global advisory firm focusing on M&A, Restructuring and Insolvency Advisory. This is a strategic appointment to a greenfield site in London, as well as leading client engagements, this role offers a unique opportunity to build a new office location for a global boutique advisor.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of the Lead Advisory and wider Corporate Finance team with other Assistant Directors, Directors and Partners.

  • Lead the development of existing and new service stream methodologies.

  • Manage R&I engagements, which include the resolution of project issues prior to MD review.

  • Build a strong and sustainable relationship with clients, both internal and external to the firm, establishing both a rapport and trust.

  • Undertake the management of the project team on a day-to-day basis.

  • Assume real ownership of client relationships and projects.

  • People management responsibilities covering resource planning and allocation, performance management, support to the appraisal process, training and recommendations for promotion.

  • Scope and review reports, information memoranda and documents using Word and PowerPoint

  • Scope and review financial models using Excel

  • Act as a mentor to team members and provide coaching with a view to assisting them to achieve their personal career goals.

  • Convert existing opportunities into future Corporate Finance/M&A work, and identify new project opportunities.

The ideal profile:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience at a middle-market, reputable boutique or regional or bulge bracket investment bank serving the middle market with demonstrable R&I experience within the Consumer or Industrial sector

  • Bachelor's, Master's or MBA degree

  • Qualified Insolvency practitioner

  • Ability to generate new business through the cultivation of existing relationships as well as the development of new relationships by various efforts including cold calling.

  • Ability to make effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
