Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide up-to-date professional legal advice across the business adopting a commercial approach
Draft, review and negotiate relevant contracts
Advise and provide all relevant support to the business cross-functionally regarding existing and/or new product development
Advise and assist on relevant ad hoc projects as appropriate to identify, assess, monitor, and anticipate potential legal risks for the business
Manage external counsel relationship, instructions, and budget
Manage litigation and administrative proceedings as appropriate
Keep the business up to date on its relevant legal and regulatory and compliance obligations
Develop, maintain and embed the Compliance Framework.
Maintain, monitor and review compliance processes and procedures
Perform the role of Money Laundering Reporting Officer
Provide relevant and effective compliance reporting to senior stakeholders in the business as required
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified lawyer, minimum 4 years relevant PQE
Experience in Irish Insurance Law and Solvency II
Experience in the Irish Private Mortgage Insurance Business would be an asset
Proven ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to influence
