Opportunity
Phoenix has teamed up with an independent financial services firm headquartered in Ireland, with a global presence through their international offices. Our client's core focus is providing specialised accounting services to investment vehicles, collectively managing assets valued at nearly US$700 billion.

Position
Our client is currently seeking Manager/ Senior manager with Fund and Financial Reporting experience, ACA qualification is desirable but not essential. Our client has two roles which is based in the Limerick office and the Cork City office.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and reviewing financial statements for investment funds and various financial services entities, adhering to US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAPs as needed.
  • Managing the financial reporting process for multinational clients, serving as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, administrators, and investment managers.
  • Conducting research to address technical queries related to accounting standards.
  • Providing guidance and support to team members through coaching and reviewing their work.
  • Possibility of international travel opportunities due to our expanding global client base.
  • Responsible for the professional development of team members.


Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualification (not essential) with a strong grasp of accounting standards.
  • Prior experience in the Financial Services fund environment, with Top 10 experience considered a plus.
  • Strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a practical approach.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant accountancy software.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
  • The capability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating within a team setting.
  • A commitment to taking ownership of your own professional development.
