Our Client:
A dynamic Dublin-city centre based asset manager and Management Company in ongoing growth mode.

The Opportunity:
  • Join a talented, expanding in-house legal team reporting into the Head of Legal.
  • Gain broad exposure from product development, fund launches, and transactional documentation, through to ad hoc projects and representing the organisation at industry and external events.  
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Advise and assist on the company's product development from initial stages through to regulatory authorisation.
  • Assist and advise on all aspects of the relevant funds authorisation process liaising with the Central bank and other Regulators as appropriate. 
  • Carry out horizon scanning and advise on the implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirements for the entity and the funds under management e.g. UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, EMIR, SFDR, CP86
  • Draft and maintain fund and management company documents (including Prospectus, Supplements, KIIDs and Business Plan) and other ancillary documents related to the investment funds under management.
  • Draft and review a range of commercial contracts and transactional documents impacting the management company and the funds under management (eg such as IMAs with third party managers, investment advisory agreements, licensing agreements, ISDAs,
  •  Assist with ad-hoc regulatory and business projects
  • Assist internal stakeholders and the Company Secretary regarding preparing for and organising quarterly board meetings and product committee meetings
  • Represent the organisation at external conferences and industry events.
 Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Irish Solicitor (or a solicitor with equivalent qualification in another jurisdiction)
  • Minimum 4 years' post qualification experience (working in Ireland)
  • Previous experience in investment funds is essential,
  • Highly self-motivated, pragmatic, solutions-oriented
  • Commercial and proven ability to provide practical and succinct legal advice.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise work by understanding competing priorities and appropriately managing these. 
  • Strong team player
