Lead SharePoint and Power Platform Developer

This position presents an exceptional opportunity to spearhead an IT transformation, utilising cutting-edge technologies, some of which are at the forefront of the market. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading development and design efforts for IT applications, collaborating with the Head of Business Application to steer our ongoing IT architecture redesign and upgrading.
  • Providing design guidance and principles to the development team.
  • Crafting necessary design documentation.
  • Executing development and maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Ensuring impeccable delivery through meticulous attention to detail and rigorous system testing.
  • Adhering to the organisation's development processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring alignment with the architectural plan and approach by effectively communicating and instructing technical team members.
  • Collaborating with the change team to maintain up-to-date change reports and tracking (e.g., Jira) with development progress updates.
  • Analysing, agreeing upon, clearly communicating, and adhering to development timelines as much as possible.
  • Collaborating with the technical support team to comprehend critical bugs and issues and contribute to their resolution.


To excel in this role, we are seeking someone who brings:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Software Developer.
  • Proficiency in the MS environment and architecture.
  • Comprehension of IT architectural concepts and adept system design skills.
  • A logical, process-driven approach to implementing change.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and expertise in IT delivery processes.
  • A strong grasp of IT design and development concepts.
  • Skills in creating design and requirements documentation, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technical prowess in applications and database design.
  • Knowledge, and preferably hands-on experience, in Microsoft cloud application technologies such as Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, and Fabric.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, especially the ability to align and collaborate with colleagues from both technical and non-technical backgrounds to execute plans successfully.
  • Experience thriving in a collaborative environment that promotes a strong team mentality.
  • A composed and level-headed demeanour, coupled with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively overcome obstacles.
  • Insight into the dynamics and opportunities unique to smaller businesses compared to large corporate environments.
  • A history of working effectively in a fast-paced, agile setting, with a proven track record of timely delivery.
