Our client is an established alternative lender and investment company with an exceptional track record of assisting high potential businesses accelerate the growth of their business. Over the past 10 years they have deployed over £500m across 50+ businesses in the European market. 

The Opportunity

Due to continued expansion, our client are looking to hire an experienced Leveraged Finance/Debt professional to lead a greenfield site for them in the UK (London) market. 

Responsibilities:

• Marketing of direct lending platform and origination of deal pipeline through advisor coverage

• Negotiate term sheets/non-investment grade legal documentation for buy-side participation

• Prepare credit reports incorporating analysis of new transactions and present to credit committee

• Review Analyst/Associate work and provide coaching in cash flow/debt capacity modelling

• Full involvement in the investment evaluation process including attendance at management presentations, review of due diligence reports, and preparation of internal investment proposals in conjunction with Executive Directors and analysts 

• Financial modelling of investment opportunities and the preparation of integrated financial models and conducting sensitivity analyses 

• Ongoing monitoring of portfolio assets including contributing to the quarterly updates 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience working of direct lending / private debt experience. 

• Qualified Chartered Accountant, CFA or Investment professional

• Excellent analytical, due diligence and execution skills

• Track record of investing in mid market companies across the UK and European markets

• Ability to build relationships with advisors and potential investors based in the local market

• Ability to originate and analyse potential investment opportunities
