The Role
- To ensure early payment of insurance accounts, target management, and general control of payment patterns, lead the hospital's insurance collections staff.
- Maintaining the ledger of billed claims, processing partial payments, and guaranteeing swift collection or write-off decisions.
- To actively identify and enhance the billing and insurance claiming processes, collaborate with the leads of the billing team and the credit controller.
- Create trusting connections with consultants' external billing companies.
- Collaborating with the Patient Accounts Manager to pinpoint potential for process enhancement and sharing with the larger team any trends in claim activity.
