Pharmaceutical Sector | Indirect Tax Analyst | 11-Month Contract

Background

Our client is a major investor in the Irish economy and they have built out a 1st class finance team. With an office in Dublin City this role will offer a hybrid (2 days in office) role with an excellent culture and work life balance (Zero overtime).

The role an initial 11 month contract with is very common for U.S. Multinational's with the option of extension and permanency.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analysis of indirect tax data, including sales tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary tax data, resolve tax-related issues, and provide guidance on tax matters.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in indirect taxation.

Requirements:

  • A recognised professional tax qualification (e.g. AITI, AIIT) and/or significant post qualified experience an advantage
  • Proven work experience as an Indirect Tax Analyst or in a similar tax-related role.
  • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems. Experience with tax automation tools is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and ethics, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive tax information.
