The Opportunity:
To join a global trailblazing organisation in a strategic Head of Legal Ireland capacity, and play a key role in the establishment, development, and maintenance of a strategic regulated Irish hub plus the expansion of a presence throughout the EU.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain all relevant fund documentation including prospectus, supplements, KIIDs, and policies relating to the funds, and the country registrations of the funds.
Advise, assist and successfully obtain any further Central Bank funds product authorisations to include the preparation and submission of all relevant documentation, liaising with third parties as appropriate, and acting as a relevant point of contact with the Central Bank.
Liaise with relevant distribution/ registration agents and as appropriate, local counsel and local supervisory and regulatory authorities.
Draft, review and negotiate relevant third-party service provider agreements and relevant intercompany agreements.
Carry out consistent horizon-scanning to ensure that all authorised fund products remain fully compliant with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, advising the business and the board as required.
Assist with board governance matters. Attend and present at board meetings as required.
Liaise with colleagues cross-departmentally and across the wider group.
Liaise with the wider senior management team advising on strategic growth and development-related issues as part of the wider EU expansion.
Manage budget, instructions, and relationships with external counsel.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified lawyer. Minimum of 8 years’ PQE and experience in a funds division with a top-tier law firm and/or a relevant in-house legal function within the asset management division.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the legal aspects of the asset management industry, with strong UCITS experience and preferably experience of structured products. ETF experience is highly advantageous.
Experience liaising with the Central Bank and knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
Proven experience attending and presenting at board meetings and addressing director queries.
Proven experience liaising with relevant third-party stakeholders e.g. tax advisors, outsourced providers, relevant regulatory/supervisory authorities.
