An exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Legal Director/ Head of Legal to join the team on a 12 Month contract.

Advising the company on a wide variety of legal issues, you will have as much exposure across the business as possible in a role with global reach where you will be the principle legal advisor across the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete responsibility and escalation point for all aspects of commercial contracts globally.
  • Provide legal advice for new products, new processes, new facilities etc as may be contemplated by the organisation
  • Responsibility for corporate and co-sec legal matters, engaging external counsel where appropriate
  • Provision of advice on disputes and mitigation of these across the organisation
  • Manage and provide support to the legal team in an effective manner
  • Create materials and conduct training and onboarding as required by the business
  • Frequent engagement with exec stakeholders on wide variety of matters needing legal advice
  • Key legal responsibility for group integration projects
  • Key legal responsibility for business transformation projects across the business
  • Manage appropriate escalations and communication with stakeholders as needed
  • Manage and negotiate regulatory amendments as required
  • Signing responsibilities as appropriate
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities as may arise from time to time

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 8 years PQE, in-house experience preferred
  • IP/IT focused experience - commercial contract negotiation experience is key with focus on technology and B2C agreements an advantage.
  • Strong Legal decision maker with people management experience
  • Experience engaging with CSuite and Executive stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of IT/ software contracting law as well as issues relating to data protection and intellectual property.
