The Client:
A leading Fintech E-Payments provider is looking to hire a Head of Risk & Compliance to establish and grow the Irish compliance and risk framework.
Market leader in their space, this role has come about due to the growth of their Irish office and will have support from the already established UK office.


The Opportunity:

  • Work alongside the Board of Directors, ensuring a robust and effective risk-based compliance programme
  • Point of contact for all CBI interactions and requirements

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an integrated, proactive and risk-based compliance monitoring plan
  • Responsible for the growth of the compliance and risk departments
  • Work alongside the European CEO as they look to expand the Irish operations
  • Provide monthly & quarterly risk reporting to Senior Stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  • Responsible for the overall risk function within the business, developing and ensuring a strong risk culture
  • Implement risk controls and frameworks to mitigate risk and compliance
  • Horizon scanning against all upcoming regulatory changes - managing any remediation as necessary
  • Designated point of contact for all compliance, risk and MLRO activities


The Ideal Candidate:

  • 7+ years experience in a similar styled role
  • Strong experience in compliance & risk in a regulated environment, preferably within the payments space
  • Knowledge of payments, E-Money licence approval process requirements
  • Experience or qualified in data protection would be hugely advantageous
  • Ideally prior PCF approved
