The Opportunity
We are working with a leading Irish PLC in the manufacturing sector, who have an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to join their tax team.

This role will work with the Group tax team and offers excellent exposure to work alongside the Groups Head of Tax and Senior members.

Responsibilities.
This role will focus on a number of key areas, including TP, International Tax Planning & Strategy, Group Tax Advisory and M&A. Some of the duties include:

  • Supporting the design and implementation of the Group's transfer
    pricing policy.
  • Liaising with international finance teams to ensure the Group's
    transfer pricing policies are applied consistently across the Group.
  • Liaising with the Group's international tax advisors and finance teams, coordinating the completion of the Group's global compliance obligations.
  • Review of the Group's tax monthly cash flow forecast.
  • Responsibility for current and deferred tax accounting as part of the
    Group's periodic tax reporting processes.
  • Design and implementation of tax efficient profit repatriation
    strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with other Group functions on tax
    efficient cross border financing arrangements which support the
    Group's investment and treasury strategies.
  • Identifying and availing of tax incentive opportunities globally.
  • Working collaboratively with the Group M&A team and its network.
    of advisors on investment appraisals and the completion of tax due
    diligence and legal workstreams, e.g. SPA review; etc.
  • Design and implementation of tax efficient acquisition and
    financing structures and the effective communication of these
    structures to supporting Group functions.
  • Review and advice on transaction agreements.

Qualifications

  • Big 4/Top 6 trained
  • CTA qualified - ACA not essential but advantageous.
  • 4 years experience in total minimum.
  • Experience in IFRS tax accounting principles advantageous.
