Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Advise on relevant legal, regulatory and corporate governance issues affecting the Company and the Funds under management on an ongoing basis.

  • Review, draft and negotiate all relevant fund documentation, agreements, and service provider agreements from a legal perspective.

  • Liaise and work cross-functionally across the global group regarding new fund launches, relevant updates, and/or group initiatives as required e.g marketing, sales, business development.

  • Working with the relevant local agent, manage the registration of Funds in other jurisdictions as appropriate. Review KIID documentation.

  • Liaise with the Central Bank on relevant Funds issues as required.

  • Review, maintain and enhance the compliance reporting framework to senior management and the boards of directors of the funds under management.

  • Attend and participate at monthly and quarterly board meetings, and also, attend regular meetings with relevant investment managers.

  • Instruct and manage relationships with external counsel on various projects as appropriate.

  • Manage and develop client relationships as appropriate.

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legal and regulatory changes and provide regular advice and updates to senior management as appropriate.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Irish qualified lawyer, a minimum of 3 years PQE but more experienced candidates will also be considered.

  • Experience working within an Asset Management/Investment Funds team at a leading law firm.

  • Experience working as In-House Legal in a Management Company, Fund Administrator or Financial Services business advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Experience in an international organisation with a global client base advantageous.

  • Excellent technical knowledge of the relevant legal and regulatory landscape, including relevant Central Bank requirements. Prior experience liaising with the Central Bank advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including at board & senior management level.

  • Excellent client relationship management and development skills.

  • Proven experience building and developing relationships across business units.

  • Commercial, solutions-focused and adaptable.
