​The Opportunity

Phoenix is delighted to be working with a well established technology company who are undergoing exponential growth. As a result, they are building their finance team and an opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Accountant with 2+ years PQE to join the team.

Working in a tight-knit team, this role gains broad exposure and will have full responsibility for the accounting functions across a number of business units.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of statutory accounts across a number of entities based in EMEA;

• Working with local teams to ensure accurate finance information is received in a timely fashion for month & year end;

• Working with multiple departments on various projects to drive process improvements, etc.;

• Reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, preparing and commenting on variance analysis, KPI's, etc.;

• Working closely with the team to convert US GAAP ledgers to local GAAP requirements;

• Assisting with statutory and tax audits, and;

• Ad hoc projects as they arise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PQE with a Top 10 / Big 4 audit background;

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP essential, with exposure to IFRS and various EMEA GAAP's a distinct advantage;

• Strong Excel skills and cloud-based ERP experience advantageous;

• Must have experience of working in a driven and close-knit environment;

• Experience of working in the technology sector desirable;

• Must be used to working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and;

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail needed.
