Phoenix is excited to announce its partnership with an exclusive Aircraft Lessor and is currently seeking a Finance Manager. Our client is expanding its fleet and organisation and is offering a Finance Manager position under the Head of Financial Operations & Contracts Management. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of monthly management accounts for the parent entity, subsidiaries, and related joint venture entities to Tokyo and related JV partners
  • Participate in deal team meetings and provide input on technical accounting matters for transaction approval papers
  • Prepare cashflows and debt reporting analysis
  • Engage with external JV partners, auditors, and debt providers
  • Continuously improve management information, including developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for management information and analysis purposes
  • Proactively identify value-add initiatives and consider their accounting implications
  • Manage and review the preparation of annual financial statements and audits for parent and related entities
  • Coordinate and review impairment analysis and processes under US GAAP (including the annual Impairment Analysis under IFRS)
  • Monitor changes to relevant accounting standards to assess their impact on parent and related entities
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying technical accounting (under US GAAP/IFRS) that may arise on aircraft deals
  • Improve reconciliation, analysis, and substantiation of financial information, including streamlining the preparation process
  • Ensure effectiveness, accuracy, implementation, and adherence to SOx controls and processes
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and best practices
  • Manage and develop finance team members, including training and career progression

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2.1 in a business degree or related area
  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong finance and accounting skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Enthusiastic and self-starting, with strong communication skills
  • Experience with involvement in IT projects is desirable
  • Robust interpersonal, team management, and team-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and flexibility in managing multiple priorities with varying deadlines.
