The Client:

A leading retail firm is looking to hire an Ethical Trade Executive - GDPR to join their growing compliance team to assist in reporting matters ensuring functional compliance with the company's Data Protection Programme Located in Dublin City, the role will offer a highly agile and flexible approach for candidates

The Opportunity:

  • Responsible for the day to day responsibility for analysing, recording and reporting matters ensuring functional compliance with the companies Data Protection Programme, Reporting to SETE licensing and GDPR.

The Role:

    • Work as part of the companies network of GDPR champions (c.a. 28), managed by the Legal Compliance Department, in collaboration with the ETES-CS SETE
    • Defining the governance and accountability requirements for monitoring and maintaining compliance with our data protection policy and procedures within ET & ES team.
    • Identify training and awareness needs and work with the Compliance Team to co-ordinate regional requirements, in collaboration with the SETE.
    • Develop and issue privacy notices where required for new projects or initiatives with support from the Compliance Team.
    • Ensure operational procedures and guidance remain up to date, as per guidance of the Legal team
    • Regularly review notices to make sure that they are accurate, up-to-date and effective
    • Manage subject access requests for the function and regularly review systems/business processes in conjunction with the Compliance Team to ensure appropriate for volume of requests received
    • Review data retention guidelines and ensure they are adhered to in practice within the function
    • Participate and support due diligence checks and risk assessments

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Ability to work with different stakeholders at peer and mid-senior level
  • Proficiency in (data) compliance and management of processes
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required
