Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement a robust AML/FTC regulatory framework for the business across multiple jurisdictions and act as MLRO.
Continuously oversee, monitor, and support AML compliance per relevant legislation and regulatory guidance. Oversee all relevant AML record-keeping obligations and filing requirements including SARs.
Update, upskill and train colleagues across the organisation on relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular horizon scanning and ensure all company policies, procedures are compliant with relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
Manage communications with regulatory authorities/bodies globally as required, acting as the first point of contact
Manage any relevant licensing or regulatory applications globally and assist with any compliance issues encountered. Liaise with the business and relevant internal stakeholders as required.
Work with the legal department to update the organisation’s privacy framework. Manage ongoing key data protection issues and/or breaches liaising with relevant stakeholders within the business as appropriate. Provide relevant updates/training internally as required.
Continuously promote a compliance culture but also having regard to the realities of business needs.
Ad hoc duties and projects as appropriate.
Key Skills & Requirements:
Hold an Honours Degree and a relevant recognised compliance qualification.
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a relevant compliance position within an FS organisation, including a strong AML focus and prior MLRO experience.
FinTech industry experience advantageous.
Experience advising on US compliance matters advantageous.
In-depth understanding and experience developing and implementing AML and on-boarding procedures, bribery and corruption policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of European and Irish legislation and regulations with a particular focus on credit, lending and/or securities.
Strong understanding of data protection regulation and familiarity with the GDPR requirements.
Proven experience building relationships with stakeholders across BUs and a proven ability to influence.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven project management experience
Commercial, flexible, adaptable with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
Strong team-player but also highly self-driven.
