Phoenix is currently retained by a leading Irish Real Estate investment firm. Due to their continued success, they have created an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Director to join their leadership team.
The Role:
Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth
Define and implement business development and promotional strategies to increase clientele.
Forecasting and ensuring performance is in line with project budgeting
Involvement in projects from concept to handover and monitor changes/variations to the project cost using verification techniques
Monitor and report related expenditure and risk exposure
Coordinate all relevant internal stakeholders and sub-consultant/contractors for cost related matters
Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth
Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities and participate in the yearly budgetary process with the group management team
The ideal candidate:
Minimum 2.1 Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Real Estate Investment, or equivalent course from a well regarded educational institution
10 - 15 years relevant experience (could be within Legal, Banking or Engineering or a Real Estate firm), with a preference for at least 3 to 5 years at a Real Estate Development focused role
Experience in managing/supporting deal processes and managing large scale development projects
Rent renewal negotiation & research experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player who is pleasant to work with;
Self-starter; has confidence in asking questions and ability to work independently in a fast-paced but collegiate environment;
Proven ability to build and nurture a network of contacts in the industry (contractors, investment firms, advisors, etc);
Versatile, able to adapt to a variety of situations;
Ability to drive several development projects in parallel
