Phoenix are delighted to be retained by a leading telecommunications group based in Jamaica who are undertaking a search for a Chief Financial Officer. This well-known organisation is a market leader in its field, and this position presents an exciting & unique opportunity for an experienced professional who is keen to grow their international experience. Working alongside the CEO with exposure to the Founder & Chairman, this position will play a key strategic role in guiding the future of the company.
The Opportunity:
Working alongside Senior Management, the CFO will provide key strategic vision for the finance function and will drive the development & growth of the business. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Advising the Board on key financials, providing monthly, quarterly & annual updates on performance, using metrics to guide future decision making;
Ensuring consistent application of accounting policies across the business;
Supporting the day to day management of the business from a finance perspective;
Liaising with key senior stakeholders, including the Founder & Chairman, on a regular basis;
Managing all budgeting & forecasting, ensuring the implementation of a 3 year strategic plan;
Ensuring strong control of cash-flow management & balance sheet for the business;
Preparing, reviewing & presenting business plans for the company, including all capital spending;
Reviewing monthly reports & presentations for Board level;
Continuously developing new initiatives to improve business performance;
Managing rollout of new ERP system, and;
Preparing ad hoc reports CEO & Group CFO.
Qualifications
Qualified accountant with minimum 12 years PQE & experience in a similar position;
Telecommunications / technology sector experience advantageous, with strong exposure to management of capital expenditure essential;
Staff management experience essential;
A proven ability to manage senior stakeholders essential;
Experience of working in an emerging market an advantage;
Exposure to preparing and presenting presentations for Board a must, and;
Previous experience of working internationally and within a shared service environment needed.
