Associate Director – M&A

 Candidates MUST have experience on both buy-side and sell-side with

the deal size around the €20-200m mark and solid fundraising

experience.

The Company:

Our client is a leading global Corporate Finance house that provides corporate

finance services: M&A, management buyouts/ buy-ins, capital raising, and strategic,

commercial and financial restructuring advice. They have sector specialisms and a

Capital & Debt Advisory Team which supports all their sectors with an exceptional

track record in the market for employee engagement, flexibility and providing a

positive and collaborative environment. 

For the right person, this firm will offer a unique high visibility opportunity for an M&A

specialist to grow their career working with leading companies/deals primarily in the

tech space that provides a pathway to become part of the Executive team in the firm.

Responsibilities:

 Model the financial implications of transactions.

 Manage sell-side mandates through optimal positioning of the assets or

business, identifying target bidders, preparing Information Memoranda

and negotiating commercial terms.

 Manage buy-side mandates, identifying targets and working with clients

to structure and negotiate successful transactions.

 Creative in the sourcing and use of information and able to make sensible

assumptions where appropriate.

 Quickly develop a deep understanding of the strategic rationale for

transactions.

 Working with clients to take proposals to market, identifying target

funders or partners and presenting opportunities in the most effective

way, negotiating and structuring transactions with other professionals to

successful completion.

 Review and prepare complex reports and presentations to clients.

 Have great knowledge of the market and a strong eye for business

development.

 The Ideal Candidate:

 Qualified ACA, ACCA, CFA or has completed an MBA.

 5+ years of experience of M&A advisory experience on both buy-side and

sell-side

 Tech sector experience is hugely advantageous.

 Fundraising experience is a MUST.

 Self-awareness to seek feedback on performance and drive their own

development.

 Demonstrate strong numerical and financial skills and an understanding

of financial statements.
