The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years' previous experience in an accounts assistant role.

The position would ideally suit a candidate with a desire to work in a fast paced, changing environment who previously has
experience in the energy, financial services or corporate finance sector.

Duties

Accounts:

  • Assisting with nominal ledger and month end close process
  • Month end accounts journals
  • Balance Sheet & Control Account Reconciliations
  • Posting of various accruals and prepayments
  • Liaising with Auditors, Banks and Customers as required
  • Performing other ad‐hoc accounting duties as may be required
  • Assist with the day to day running of the accounts office

Credit Control:

  • Assisting in the initial credit assessment of all new customers
  • Assisting in the monthly invoicing process
  • Cash collections on accounts
  • Making outbound calls for credit control
  • Achieving Targets & KPI's for cash collections
  • Managing outstanding debtors
  • Investigate, resolve and, where necessary escalate aged debt issues
  • Customer service queries & query resolutions
  • Management of aged debtors listing

Accounts Payable & Banking:

  • Reviewing and verifying invoices
  • Liaising with suppliers and the wider business
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Management of aged creditors listing
  • Management of payment run process
  • Preparing supplier statement reconciliations

Requirements for the role include:

  • excellent computer skills (particularly Microsoft Excel)
  • excellent numeric skills
  • the ability to work methodically
  • the candidate should be detail orientated in approach to work and should be a team player
  • who has the ability to engage and support a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
