Accounts Assistant - Dublin North - Up to €40,000


Job Description

My client is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to work across their busy Finance Department! The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team working on really exciting projects.

Offering a competitive salary and benefits package including health and life assurance, this is a permanent, full-time contract in a hybrid work situation; a mixture of working remotely from home and in their Smithfield-based office as required.

As part of the Finance Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the accounts payable function for several companies. They will work closely with accountants to ensure invoices are processed quickly, accurately and in line with relevant contracts. Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, verifying and processing a high volume of invoices.
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparing & processing weekly supplier payment runs
  • Processing intercompany PO & Recharges
  • Monthly creditor reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of Direct Debit mandates
  • Processing bank transactions
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Processing company online purchases
  • Revenue returns



Key Requirements

  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • At least 3+ years in busy accounts payable role preferable
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to work as part of a team
  • Experience in general accounting and control / reconciliation tasks
  • Accounting technician or part-qualified accountant
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometimes implement own processes
